Committees
AAFV is involved in many aspects of aquatic veterinary medicine and has formed committees to focus on issues and items of value to the aquatic veterinary medicine field. We invite our members to join committees of their interest by contacting the committee chair.
EDUCATION COMMITTEE
The purpose of the Education Committee of AAFV is to advance the continuing education opportunities for AAFV members by facilitating conferences, meetings, and other opportunities to communicate current findings in fish medicine.

FISH WELFARE COMMITTEE
The purposes of the Fish Welfare Committee of AAFV are to:
- work with stakeholders to address issues of welfare, conservation and habitat protection for aquatic species
- educate the general public and the veterinary community with regard to aquatic species welfare and conservation
- reach out to and work with other conservation agencies when aquatic animal welfare and conservation issues are at stake.

MEMBERSHIP & MARKETING COMMITTEE
The purpose of the M&M Committee of AAFV is to engage on social media, advertise important news about events, make announcements regarding scholarships and conferences, & develop AAFV promotional items. We also review new membership applications and encourage membership growth.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
