The goal of the Fish Health Medicine Certificate Program, developed by Dr. Mike Collins (UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine) and Dr. Myron Kebus (WI Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection), is to increase the national pool of veterinarians qualified to assist fish farmers with disease prevention and control.

Practitioners who complete this program will understand:

  • How to provide fish health services to fish farmers and
  • Have new, marketable skills to improve fish health, with a focus on disease prevention and risk management

Hundreds of veterinarians across the United States as well as internationally have completed this program. The course is comprised of five modules, including a five question quiz and additional resources at the end of each module, and will take approximately five to six hours to complete.

Veterinarians and veterinary students will be awarded a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
